Wikipedia: Brecks is a suburb of Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England. It is situated roughly 2 miles from central Rotherham. Brecks borders the suburb Wickersley.
Kathryn Rosse emailed with some extra information. "The dual carriage way was built 1972/73. Many gardens along the side above the petrol station at the Brecks were shortened (probably a compulsory purchase) to build the lengthy retaining wall. My friend lived at Bramley Park which had a lodge House at the end of their driveway. This too was demolished and the entrance to her her house was moved to Church Lane (Bramley) as a result."
