Notes
Opened in 1849. Named after a nearby bridge which at the time was just a footbridge said to be the width of a crinoline (a stiffened or hooped petticoat worn to make a long skirt stand out). After this was destroyed by floods in 1886 it was replaced with a road bridge 2 years later. The road bridge was demolished in 1968 to make way for the planned dual carriageway (Centenary Way).
The roads to both sides of the Crinoline Bridge Inn where closed to make way for the dual Carriageway, Centenary Way. As shown in the 2011 images the pub has now closed for business. Apparently, the renevation will be shown on the BBCs Homes Under The Hammer program. Click HERE for the full story from the Rotherham Advertiser. Update: As shown in the 2013 photos the plan stated in the Advertiser link above to re-open with "cafe and wine bar downstairs with a separate function room above" has been shelved and the building has now opened as a Tile shop.
